How would the 944 look today?

Actually, I completely forgot about this one:
Subaru BRZ - lightweight (for today's standards), RWD, 200 hp n/a four, what's not to love? I know I'm seriously considering one for a daily when they come out.
Just a render, but the concept car images being released now looks similar (I *hope* it looks similar to this, however)

My first thought before reading the other responses was that it would like a Cayman.
But I do agree, that in reality, that the 2012 Hyundia is what a 2012 Porsche 944 would look like on the outsie. There is probably a more realible engine IN the car.

I like the new Genesis a lot, it's a great car especially for the price.

Obviously if you just take it at face value, yeah they look nothing alike - But you have to remember what the cars around the 924/944 in the 70's and 80's. It's an apt comparison.

Just like it looks now.
What a timeless classic!
Mine's on loan. Rough but ready. Parked outside an independent German repair shop, just to give ambiance and draw in older wannabe customers driving 5 year old MB and Audi.

I think the one thing that set all the front engine cars apart was the bubble rear glass, that rear glass really set us apart, who knows with all the retro **** on the road today they might come back with a 944 retro car, I for 1 would take a real close look, I like this one

i agree with this, close lines. it would be even closer if the aston had a full glass hatch or wrapped the glass around the rear a little more and then gave the car a more distinct "hour-glass" shape. i love seeing the 944's hips in the side mirrors
