Default 2.8L K26 14lbs 1/4 mile and 4.0L 928

I went to mid Michigan dragway last weekend. I saw a very nice 4.0L 928 and he ran consistent 15.1s@91mph... long story short his day ended when he blew gear oil all over the track before a run.

I had to fit a fresh K26 remove my K27 for rebiuild as it was consuming a lot of oil. Long story short 13.2@110mph. Not bad for using a K26 eh? Im kind of sad to see the 2.8L go but the engine has a new owner as of yesterday, time for my twin turbo LSX project to begin.

The 928 was either a 4.5, 4.7, 5.0 or a 5.4.

I thought you were trying to sell your black car's engine?

Has to be US-market thing. Euro 928 runs into mid to low 14's easily and my friends 928 S (4,7, 310 hp stock) which is equipeed with VEMS standalone and coil-on-plug ignition runs 13,7-13,8 all day long at 160+ kph.

Emission systems on us market cars are the root of all evil. It still makes me laugh when I see these big V8 928s get spanked by my 12-13 second 944s. Old black has a new clutch, Im hoping for high 11s.
