clutch bleed help?

im just nervous ..the clutch one morning just plumped down and didnt come back up..found old old stain on carpet but i just wanna get it working so i can drive her to the porsche dealership

Don't worry, it's really pretty easy.
The only problem you'll have is that you need to have the rear jacked way up in the air so that you don't run out of fluid at the master cylinder. It's a weird design, the fluid reservoir is shared with the brake m/c, and it's baffled, and if it's level the clutch portion of the reservoir runs out of fluid very quickly. (If someone can explain why this design makes sense, I'd love to hear it.)
As I recall, the slave cylinder is pretty close to the starter.
Check www.clarks-garage.com for instructions.

You should remove the starter. It's so much easier. Hell, it might be the only way to get to the bleeder screw.
Then, as previously noted, put the car on stands with the rear as high as you can possibly get it.
Another way I've done it is to force fluid backwards from slave to master thereby eliminating the standard "pump and close" method. Either way it's not hard and your chances of ruining something are slim. You'll be fine.

i have to do it when i wake up i havnt picked up my daily driving car yet...from video it looks like its under the clutch i only have the jax that came with car..maybe i should wait till my friend brings hes 80 pound hydro jax with the big metal wheels..i called into autozone i need a oil can 3mm flex hose and to big dot4 bottles and i got there and the place was a mad house and i was liek omg hold oNNN its getting dark i need this stuff now!!and i got home n lost the daylight...if someone has a picture id be soo happy..i only know how to work on cars becuz i had a really hot girlfreind when i got my first car..83 331i and was hell bent on fixing it over and over intill i was novice on that engine lol a pic would be helpfull and i appreciate all and everyone who even takes the time to hit a key on there keyboard to help THANK YOU

This is off topic but does anyone have the link to the barn yard find..a old 82 83 euro slant nose 930 someone found in the back yard behind the barn of a house he bought?it had 82 944 looking bumper(the small rubber).half the size of 83 up with over sized fog lights and monster hood?

If you got stains on your carpet it could also mean that the (clutch master cylinder is going) usually when replacing the clutch slave most will also replace the master cylinder as well.+1 for everything mention up to date.# 1 clutch master cylinder #2 clutch slave cylinder by the bell housing (notice the 7mm bleed screw at the rear).

I print stuff out and make a board(big marker board on wheels) next to my car and work off the board with diagrams and pictures...my neighbors hmm they think im a wierdo..i dont disagree....but it works for me....thanks Ernie i printed those and added to the board..the 1st picture is the part i need and the 2nd is what im looking for with the 7mm to bleed..and yeah the stain i found was really old and right under the clutch

While at autozone pick up a brake bleeder.its about 35 bucks.have someone help keep an eye on the mastercylinder keeping it full.slightly crack the bleeder and start pumping away.the clear hose helps you to see a nice airfree stream.

This was not a fun job for me, maybe it's was just my car, maybe I wasn't holding my mouth right. LONG story short, buy a power bleeder. Justy .02 worth. Yes if you have stains replace master cylinder while your at it. Will save you much heart ache later. Trust me I know.
