i was being facetious :P does not the list of proposed mods and money involved not seem overkill for a streetcar?

like many of you have said if its your hobby...... and it is

i know the hp/$$ is not good for a 924s but i like that little motor and i love making things run at its best i mean hell if i wanted hp for cheap i would dump my time and money into my 77 camaro that already has a 450hp/500tq 383 stroker in it

and yes the intake idea is over kill but some time overkill is a good/fun thing

A 924S with 180HP is a very quick car. Aim for that neighborhood and you may be surprised how much fun you can have. It's attainable, realistic, and you may run out of tires (narrow body) before anything else. I've been tossing the idea of putting an entire 86 951 under a 924S and there are lots of challenges, but tires will be melting if it happens.

180 would be great. and i have already started my diet on the car( no A/C, fiberglass bumpers, and any thing that was not needed under the hood) i would say i have about alittle under 200lb out of the car and this winter i will be ripping out the back seats and and swaping out the fronts i need to anyway cuse i drove my new 944 manual for the first time a few days ago and the seat wont go up as far as i would like it to "damn my short legs" i am 5'10" and it just feels like a reach to get the clutch to the floor

i was wondering about the rear fenders if i wanted to go to fiberglass one day does that mean i can take off the steel ones or is it just a skin for looks?

the rear ones require cutting away to be removed. what do you mean a skin for looks?

good thats what i was hopeing for. what i ment by skin was if the fiberglass just went over the old steel panel. i thought they would replace it cuse thats the hole point of going to fiberglass to shed LB.'s but i could not find any pics of plp replacing the rear panels so i thought i would just ask.

Back to manifolds

Are you thinking of ITB's? or using some webers/mikunis? I know webers are low tech, but I've made some serious power with my Datsun Z cars using webers. It may simplify some of the intake design if there are manifolds already out there. (not sure if guys ever removed the FI for racing..not spec racing that is) It was still popular in the 80's to remove low tech fuel injection and pollution controls for a nice set of webers ready for racing!

ok back to intake talk i highjacked my own topic........... ok i was doing some reading last night ( http://amsperformance.com/pdfs/intakemani.pdf ) so my first quetion is at what rpm range does a N/A make most power............... i am thinking for a N/A street car that might make it to a track day here or there i would want to keep the power in the mid range and not worry to much about top end as much.

i also found this site http://www.chrysler300club.com/uniq/.../ramtheory.htm that has great equations that might help the design
