Default Is it blasphemy to trade a 951 for a 325i?

I can no longer drive the 951 because it is a 5 speed. I have an offer on the table to trade for an auto 2002 Beemer with the sport package with 94K on it.

I know there both German, but that's where the similarities stop.

Input is greatly appreciated.

Are you kidding, I love my 325Ci, it is the most reliable and fuel-efficient transport I have owned and it really moves when you want it to! If you are a boost addict though you will miss it.

Going with the pack
is quite monotonous.

I drove a 325 w/ a 5 speed once - definitely no power especially coming out of a 951.
If you could I would try to pick up one of the '06 GTIs with the DSG. Lots of fun and in a similar price range.

Why is an '02 BMW only worth (trade) what a 1980s 951 is worth

While not "blasphemy" to trade, it certainly won't be the same.

Well, if you can't drive the 951, any car you *can* drive, even a Honda would be better.

Another vote for a late-model GTI 2.0T with the DSG box for you.

What 325 did you drive? I am guessing it wasn't the e46 Ci with sport pack. That 6cyl is more responsive that my 951 and keeps up with it very well, the thing is fast!

I drove an 03 I believe. Wasn't a sport package but I can tell you getting out of the bone stock 951 into that car made me seriously want to turn around...
I was actually looking for a 3 series for a DD around the 12k range, ended up in an 09 GTI instead. Super happy.

i drove a 325 a couple months ago seeing if i'd like it as a daily driver. i didn't really like it, seemed gutless and heavy. it was a 6spd and for some reason i've always hated the clutch on bmw cars

The car in question is a 325i, granted the lowest of the 3 series, but I think they have improved since the 94 I owned. I will still have the two other turbo cars so I will keep some boost but nothing like the P car.

Thanks Van. Also your video's were instrumental in my service work last year. Many thanks for your time in producing those.
