Default FS: 1988 944 NA

Not sure if I should be posting this here but here we go.

For Sale: 1988 Porsche 944 NA Guards red
125,000 miles
Car is in exceptional condition. Wilks Race Chip installed which really makes the car a blast to drive. Porsche aluminum pedals. Aluminum track mats on driver and passenger side, stainless door sills with Porsche crest. The exterior and interior are very clean. This is one well sorted 944. Timing belt, water pump and all the necessary 944 treatments have been completed about 2 years ago. The motor pulls strong and the ac is ice cold. There is also a kickin' stereo with ipod integration. Car is all around awesome and gets compliments wherever I go.

I can post more pics if you need them.

Asking price is $6200 obo.

Email is info@artofshine.com

The only reason I am selling is because I am bringing home a 996 this weekend. I really love this 944 and hate to see it go!

Its pretty cheap though, considering its just a fee to sell your car, and parts in the future.

Beauty '88...
With that wax job you should open a detailing business..
As a technical discussion, what service records ( apart from the last two years) exist for the car?

The dash pad shows that even outstanding '88's still have cracked dashes?
Love the rocker skirts, VDO rings and wheels!

Thanks F1. That is my rolling billboard for my detailing company (www.artofshine.com). I do have records from about the past 7 or 8 years. The previous owner had alot of work done by Broadfoot Racing to get the car squared away. Belts, water pump, engine mounts, etc. I have receipts for all of that stuff. I havent had to do anything to it mechanically except oil changes, brakes, and just topped off freon. I have replaced a lot of trim pieces and kept her shined up.

What are the guages on the A-pillar? Do you still have the cigarette lighter? I see an aftermarket stereo head unit.. are there other stereo upgrades? is the rear hatch filled with some monster subwoofer? if you have to add freon, doesn't that mean there is a leak somewhere?

The A pillar gauges are water temp and air/fuel ratio. I just dont trust the factory water temp gauge to be totally accurate. The add on gauge is great and is lighted blue at night. Dash gauges are also lit in blue. I do have the lighter. I keep my gps plugged in most times. There is a subwoofer in the hatch under the carpet. You lose the spare tire but I run gunk in the tires and have AAA if I get a flat. You cannot see the subwoofer and the stereo sounds awesome. I lost some freon the other day when I was replacing the Schroeder valve at the compressor. I had the wrong part and lost a bit but got it all sorted now.

Nice looking car! If I were in Fla, I'd come check it out! Question for you.. Are those 17" turbo twists, and are they direct bolt on or did you need spacers etc? Also, what did you use for your front speakers when you upgraded the sound system?

Oh, and if you'd either post some pics of the blue lighting at night.. Or send one to me, I'd appreciate it!
