[944 S2 Cab'] Need some help with carpets.
Hi everyone,
I tried to find a dedicated section to introduce myself, in vain, so I hope you won't be upset with me posting my first question in this section.
I'm the owner of a '90 S2 Convertible, "glacier blue" with dark blue interior & top.
Really beautiful in my opinion, apart from one or two little things to fix.
One of these things is the carpet, which really is damaged on the driver side.
I found this morning a set of carpets, on the right colour, for less than half the price of the front part if I had to buy it from Porsche.
But it comes from a Coupé.
Do you guys know any difference between the front carpet of a Coupé and the one from a Convertible ?
Thank you very much for answering me.
Maxime, from France, and really pleased to be here.

The Cabriolets have double floor boards. The cabrios actually have less leg room than the coupes.
My 1991 Cabriolet had a lot less passenger space than the coupes I have driven. The carpet will probably still fit, and worse case just need to be trimmed slightly.

Hi !
Here's a picture of my car.

I didn't take the time to make more, especially since I put Cup wheels on it.
But I'll try !
Thanks for your advice.
I think I'll buy it, and see what will happen when I'll fit it onto my car.
Max.

17" Cup 1. They look brilliant on the Cab', even if I wanted Cup 2 in the first place.
But I don't regret.
@mhr : you bet, it's nice ! At first, I was looking for a Coupé, with a Targa only. It was really difficult to find such a car in France, all of them were nearly rotten, or didn't have any options at all, and, most of all, I wanted it not to be black, red or white.
And then, I saw this one, with its beautiful blue top, and this so elegant colour combo, I tried to resist... In vain.
For what it's worth, it's definitely the best car I've ever driven.

I've already done a complete interrior swap from a Coupe into my Cabriolet. From what I recal the kick pannels did not fit so I had to have a shop mold a piece of carpet to fit and then cut holes for the trunk release and hood release. Other than that you can not use the upper rear seats, but lower can be used.
Also if you are doing the turnk 968 carpet is not the same. The spare tire cavity is different and the molded carpet is different. The sides and under deck lid of the trunk are the same though.
Oh, and if you are wondering door pannels and dash all fit.

Thanks jetmax for your advices.
I already have the whole set in my car, only the front carpet has a whole in it, as if Alien drooled on the floor.
I'm waiting for more detailed pictures from the seller, and I think I'll buy it.

Does anyone know how many US cabs had the Glacier Blue color, if any?
