Default What the heck are these?!?!? And... is this the right O2?

ok, so about a month ago, while cleaning up my garage, I found a strange small 2mm Allen cap head screw... thought about it for a while, couldn't remember seeing anything like that on my car, so I set it on my toolbox and forgot about it... until today, when I found ANOTHER ONE!! Do these go to my car?!?!? what the hell are they???

Also, I just went to Autozone today and bought what clarks-garage says is the right generic O2 sensor, but the pigtail is awfully short... is this really the right one??

TIA,

I'm thinking they might be bolts for the TPS, but I'm not 100% on that.

well, I had planned to splice, but I could have sworn I bought one of these before for my old NA and I thought I spliced it in a lot closer to the plug than this one will allow...

I thought that too, but I checked and the ones on the TPS are present... I'm so baffled!

The dipstick tube has tiny bolts? I thought it was just held on with the bolt on the underside of the intake manifold... I've pulled it out several times when pulling the intake...

Well... I suppose I can take solace in knowing that I'm not the only one who doesn't know where they go

I was reasonably willing to dismiss it at one, but now that I've found a second one...

Your car didn't have a cheap sub tube or speaker box did it?

I seem to remember one I took apart had those bolts.

I knew I saw them some where.

never had a sub of any kind to my knowledge...

But you're right, they look like the kind of screws that are used in a lot of electronics. The weird thing is, the first one was found in my parking spot, under the engine bay area, and the second one was found under the engine bay, with the car in the middle of the garage and turned the opposite way from how it normally is... makes me think they're coming from the engine bay, but from what? I've never seen screws like that used to hold anything together in my engine bay... ever..

Yea I am running through my head what they could come off.

I just got done pulling apart my turbo parts car's engine and nothing rings a bell.

well... maybe they're not from my car. I hope they're not, but I have no idea where they could have come from...

I think you may be being a tad paranoid about those two little bolts. Crazy stuff ends up on garage floors.

The little bolts with the hex head lock the rotor to the cam shaft.
