What the heck are these?!?!? And... is this the right O2?
ok, so about a month ago, while cleaning up my garage, I found a strange small 2mm Allen cap head screw... thought about it for a while, couldn't remember seeing anything like that on my car, so I set it on my toolbox and forgot about it... until today, when I found ANOTHER ONE!! Do these go to my car?!?!? what the hell are they???
Also, I just went to Autozone today and bought what clarks-garage says is the right generic O2 sensor, but the pigtail is awfully short... is this really the right one??
def not the right one. u need one with at least a 2....maybe 2.5 ft wire.
but u could splice and crimp.... (never solder)
well, I had planned to splice, but I could have sworn I bought one of these before for my old NA and I thought I spliced it in a lot closer to the plug than this one will allow...

hmm could they be for the dipstick tube? i guess you'll find out soon enough when the last screws holding whatever it is on, fall out! good luck!
The dipstick tube has tiny bolts? I thought it was just held on with the bolt on the underside of the intake manifold... I've pulled it out several times when pulling the intake...
Your car didn't have a cheap sub tube or speaker box did it?
I seem to remember one I took apart had those bolts.
I knew I saw them some where.
never had a sub of any kind to my knowledge...
But you're right, they look like the kind of screws that are used in a lot of electronics. The weird thing is, the first one was found in my parking spot, under the engine bay area, and the second one was found under the engine bay, with the car in the middle of the garage and turned the opposite way from how it normally is... makes me think they're coming from the engine bay, but from what? I've never seen screws like that used to hold anything together in my engine bay... ever..
