Default another one bites the dust. (wrecked)

Rear ended today at a stop light. Totalled. Will post pictures later. Disappointing. 56,000 miles, 1 owner.

I'm ok, I think. My upper back is feeling a little sore, going to go to the hospital. I was sitting upright in my seat, seatbelt on, so that's good.

You can see the fender is touching the wheels, so that's rubbing. And the ripple effect it had through the quarterpanel. Other side looks similar. Friend lives really close by so I dragged it to his place and got all the insurance and etc settled. Just now got it off the flatbed back at my house.

So. That certainly sucks. His insurance already told me that they will take care of it, so hopefully everything goes smoothly. Obviously totalled, any ideas how much they'll give me? Should I start stripping mods out? Turbo, MAF kit, WG, etc...

Yea you should probably start stripping it before his insurance tries to sell it to a junkyard. Can't go wrong having some go-fast-parts on hand!

Any chance you could get a higher value for it due to the value of the mods on the car? If not sure, I'd revert it to stock ASAP. Any chance of buyback and parting? Those wheels alone are worth a ton.

It will go to a salvage auction such as copart or iaai. Glad your ok, with those kind of miles it could be pulled but it would be a good bit of work. Get all the goodies off the car and get some money or keep them if you plan on buying another car.

I don't know how much insurance normally gives for these cars, someone who has gone through this before may be able to chime in. Main items is the TO4E turbo, Rogue MAF kit, Tial 38mm WG, and the Kalahari Beige Fuchs. Going to try to get in contact with some local folks to see if I could buy a cheap set of wheels from them so that I can keep mine, if I decide not to buy it back.
