Talking Get your Porsche 944 in Popular Mechanics

"Hi everyone,

I am an assistant auto editor at Popular Mechanics magazine, and we are looking for a 1983-1989 Porsche 944 to shoot for an upcoming story. The car needs to be stock and in very good condition. The photo shoot will take place on the weekend of July 23rd and 24th in Atlantic Highlands, NJ, so the owner would most likely need to live on the East Coast. The shoot and possible video should only take about two hours. If interested, please contact me at adelcolle@hearst.com to send some photos and answer some follow-up questions. Please also feel free to repost this request in other applicable threads and forums.

Thanks,

Andrew Del-Colle"

Interesting. I guess they are doing something on a bunch of sports cars of the 1980s. This guy posted the same thing on Ferrarichat regarding either 308s or 328s. I wonder what other cars they will try to pull together for this issue?

Maybe they are looking to do a "Gone in 60 seconds" in 30 seconds.

Very cool. Hopefully someone here will be picked and we can get some inside info on what they are working on.

My car would qualify. It is a 1986 951. But it is a long way to New Jersey. And back.

Why not focus on a highly modified 951?

sydneyman2007 and for the good wishes.

I looks like I may be in. As I got a response and they asked me to pick a day and time for the shoot.
