Default Has anyone bolted GT3 seats to the floor? (pics)

I just picked up a pair () and was debating needing the sliders or just bolting it directly to the floor. I'm five seven so I definetly don't need clearance and I am the only one who drives the car anyway so not so sure I need the movement back and forth. Though I would like sliders, just wanted to hear some thoughts if it sits a little better bolted directly to the floor.

i bolted my sabelt side mount seats directly to the floor:

drilling four new holes was easy, getting all the bolts started and tight was a trick.

Sorry that I suck at taking pictures, but heres two with them just set in the car. I have no brackets, mounts or anything. As I'm still looking were to buy some that aren't 1655154 million pounds. That and someone can dye my shift **** black too if they want.

I would go the sliders. You've got plenty of clearance and having that adjustment is a good thing.

and you would be lower to the ground inside the car so it may be difficult so see everything.

Thanks guys! And that website John is legit, hige five for telling me about it. I'm thinking if I could use my original 944 seat rails? Then just have to order the side bracket thingy for the seats themselves.

They are great folks to deal with too, not to mention they are anuall atendees of the Hershey swap meet!

If you have questions, give them a call, and they will be able to hook you up.. I believe they know every seat and model, and should be able to rattle off the required parts to fit the seats at the height you want them!
