Default new tires advice

Have a 90 S2 Cab with 205 55 16's front and 225 50 on back. Am close to get getting new tires installed and am considering 215 55 16 front and 245 50 16 on back. One of the few I can find is a Firestone Firehawk WIDE OVAL Indy 500
SIZE: 245/50R16
SPEED RATING: 97W
SIDEWALL: Black Letter/Black Wall

Firestone Firehawk WIDE OVAL Indy 500

SIZE: 215/55R16
SPEED RATING: 93W
SIDEWALL: Black Letter/Black Wall

Anyone with and opinion on these? Not a daily driver some aggressive driving but no track use.

Almost bought these myself , but they weren't in stock in the size I needed , so I went the Kuhmo route for price as I was planning on changing wheels , but one of the best bang for the buck tires out there . IMHO

Tom___may I suggest you start shopping around for either 17" Cup I or Cup II for your S2 before buying your tires. This way it will be less of an hassle (this time & the next one ) trying to find tires that will fit your wheels,if you look around there always some 17" for sale at a decent price & you will be surprise at the difference in the ride and handling beleive me.

i would run about any of these first...especially the star spec dunlops. I would def suggest the So2 tires bridgestone makes they are awsome!! If you want to go up a size run some 225's front and 245's rear...
