Let's see, first order will be to get the starter fixed so I can be on the road again. From there I should probably look into the oil leak(s). After that I'll be looking into new wheels and deciding on what color I should paint it. I'm going into automotive body work/refinishing in January after I finish my graphic design degree and will probably use the 944 as a project during the time. It's the best candidate because it has the worse paint out of my three cars with 10-15% of the clear coat peeling/gone.
Of course with two other vehicles they all sort of get money thrown at them at random times of the year and I need new leaf springs in the pickup if I plan on selling it.
Any suggestions on colors for the 944? It's an '87 with the Diamond Blue Metallic paint, which is cool, but it's really close in color with my grey Monte Carlo and the 944 deserves a nicer color. I was originally thinking pearl white with Jetstream blue or Arancio Borealis accents, due to me not really finding any decent accent areas I don't know if a second color is doable.

As soon as I get my new shocks on and put the steering rack back in, that's really about it. I want to get it repainted at some point. After that it's just maintenance for whatever decides to break.

i've been thinking for some time about a color somewhere a bit darker than Tahoe Blue but a bit lighter than Cobalt Blue. well, there's Corvette Jetstream Blue that fits that description. and the new Cobalt Blue 997s look lighter than some of the old 968s. some of the 968s have faded a bit (like Galva's car) and look much closer. saw the resprayed Cobalt 968 recently and that one was dark.... anyway, last night lo and behold i see a post "Land Jet" had made on the Off Topic member forum.... so, i pm'd mentioning that his car looked somewhere east of Tahoe (Blue) and west of Cobalt, but not quite like either of those.... turns out it's called Minerva Blue ! very close to my favorite Corvette color, Jetstream Blue. i love this color ! here's a 996 GT3 in Minerva Blue !

That is a beautiful color for sure! Factory Porsche color by chance? Google image search turns up several different colors so a year range would help narrow it down. The ones I see on Google are older models without much metallic, I may look into doing a blend between Jetstream and Minerva. Ah hell, I still have months before I would be able to do anything so plenty of changing my mind. Maybe a blue with white highlights. I need to find some 944s that actually have two colors used other than the two-tone split at the fenders.

gonna be up late laying down more resin. and then more sanding tomorrow.

it also appears they increased the price from $150 to $166 shortly after placing my order.
