Rob does great work! Fitted mine a while back an love it. Had a Welt short shifter on before and Robs was better, more precise and better made. I purchased a Schnell shifter to replace the Welt to see if it was any better and the quality was horrible. The ball joint was loose from the get-go. Spot the difference:

I can build a couple over the week-end, just PM. I finished the CNC'ing of the new Universal polyurethane trans mount design....944 engine or V8 swap....just flip it at the set screws.....

I have the LR kit in mine. I have no experience with any other brand, but I very much like mine, and the build quality is great.

Edit: suuuuuuuup LR billet buddy

I also have the LR shift lever and Rob's short shift kit.

My question is how to adjust the shift lever, that is what is the difference when you adjust the ball on the bottom.

If it shortens or increases the distance between the ball to the linkage, what effect does it have on the throw.

Does shortening the distance decrease the throw or increases the throw?

Has anyone found a good setting for the shifter?

Thanks in advance...

I asked a while ago. I am going to get only944.com's short shifter kit instead of waiting. It looks to be just as good of a piece.
