Were you running the QA1 as coil-overs too? If so, what were you using for the spring hat? Or were you running them inverted? I have a set that I'd like to run as coil-overs, but I don't want to run them inverted and I can't find the right spring hat that fits.
Where are the GAZ shocks manufactured?

I know where the company is based, but I'd like to know where the shock/strut itself is manufactured. That price is low and the welds look like they were done by automation. To me it appears they're Asian manufactured to GAZ's specs.

GAZ fabricates their products in UK. This setup which can be seen in the picture i posted is more or less the same product as Leda. Many Leda ex employee works now for GAZ.
If you buy similar GAZ kit to E30 BMW you must send your front suspension part to GAZ to be modified (because the spindle design). Turnover time is about two weeks. Not possible with chinese companies

So Dan Shea, you sell these coilovers?
Is it possible to select the spring rates and if so do they valve them accordingly? My car gets driven regularly on the street, as well as PCA DE events(at Mosport) so I'd like a nice, well damped, compliant ride. Possible?
I'm also wondering about fitment, my car is an 84 with an 86 rear conversion, is it possible to mix and match?
Has anybody ever had issues with the shock mounts seeing as it was never intended to have a high spring rate mounted there?
