did you use the regular, platinum or platinum plus four? i'm running a regular set of bosch copper's and they seem to work well. i have a set of new bosch platinum's that came with the car i was thinking of tossing in.

In general platinum = longer life, but less performance. Older cars were not designed with these in mind. I think they are a waste of money.

I have tested these myself with my other car with these results, but I have heard similar stories. New cars that use them, should continue to use them.

when i was racing my 84 Corvette last year before i sold it, i switched over to NGK copper plugs with excellent results. my 944 runs fine on the standard copper plugs and was just wondering if the original poster was using the coppers or somethign more expensive.

I switched to the Bosch Super Plug plugs on my last change, on the advice of a couple other RLers. Its amazing what a difference plugs can make. I've run NGK plugs forever and never thought I had an issue, until I changed.
