Yes,you can do it,
My water pump was newer so I did not change it,The hard part or the frustrating part for me was getting the balance belt on TDC,the notch on the bottom and top can turn and once you go to tighten it moves.There must be a easy way,I took it out yesterday down the 101 coast and it ran great.Good luck you will be fine,put on some tunes and enjoy.GOD bless
