Thanks for the support, I am considdering doing this, maybe I can make it to the fest, and watch what happens there if those guys really do turbo an NA there.. Although I get the feeling it would take some amazing wizardy to pull it off in a weekend at a race track in Ohio..

On another note, my 944 is an 84, would I HAVE to lower the compression ratio to be able to bolt this all together, or would it be possible to stay with the stock NA ratio and add forced induction on top? What would you guys think could be the maximum ammount of boost possible on a motor like this? If I do it, I dont think I would go crazy boost, no more than 15-18 PSI or so?

As far as I know no one ever kept the stock compression with a turbo. So it's untouched ground (unless I am just out of touch) and ready for you to explore. Don't grenade your motor!

This is by-far the easiest way to turbo your car and you can probably do it in a weekend. Let me know if you run into any problems, if you're located near me I can drop by to lend a hand.

I always hated those setups. But interesting. PVC? sheesh...

What are you trying to say here...that danger and unpredictability aren't actually fun?

capable of producing well beyond 485 horsepower at 25+ PSI

you know with some tweaking a rear mount turbo might not be that bad of an idea.

Didn't Rogue_Ant run an NA block with 9.5:1 pistons for a while on E85 before it let go? Granted, that's not on gasoline, and he's a wizard.
