FYI -- Closeout on 944/951 parts
Rock Auto is closing out a wholesaler's inventory of 944/951 stuff. Pretty limited but some good prices.

Is Beck/Arnley a reputable brand? I've never heard of them before and I'm sure they are but just want to make sure, I've never heard of or used Rock Auto before either.

RockAuto sends me an update of "closeout" prices every month.
I get one for the 924Ss and one for my Cherokee.
I just ordered a steering wheel shock damper for the Cherokee at a good price.
I do not buy the aftermarket Porsche parts---well, maybe a couple of URO switches and the PS reservoir.
Pelican just got my order today for ~$50 misc parts.

I'm actually looking for 928 parts -- didn't see how to search the closeouts for other vehicles?

Let's put it this way: my "Beck/Arnley" tensioner roller was just a reboxed INA roller.
So yes, Beck/Arnley is good stuff. Most closeout items are items that are near the end of their sellable shelf life.

Maybe I was reading more into it, it sounded to me like this wholesaler is not going to be carrying 944/951 parts any more. I've kind of been expecting that trend as the number of cars dwindles, mileage put on them is less (mostly not DD's), etc. Prices on clutches and some other parts have skyrocketed recently, I presume due to reduced volume.

Stick with Bosch.
The O2 sensor needs Platinum to "read" the exhaust and the cheap O2 sensors cannot afford the $1750+per ounce cost. So they subsitute a poorer wearing metal that will not last.
The cheap metal also does not accurately "read" the exhaust and the computer does not know how to adjust for the goofy O2 signal.
