Default Road Trip: Have a beer, lend a hand, see the 937!

The road trip to return the 937 from Orlando to Plymouth MI begins this Thursday 8)

Have a Beer
I'd love to meet as many people as possible along the route, so if you're within a reasonable drive of our itinerary, send me a PM. We'll be having a get together for sure in the Rockville MD area on Sunday evening. The other nights are all relatively open so far. Send me PMs with your locale and let's meet up for a beverage or meal!

Lend a Hand
Anyone who would be willing to be on standby road service / tool & garage loaner duty, please send me a PM with your locale and phone number. The car is insured via Hagerty, so I do have a good road service policy, but it would be some additional peace of mind to know where nearby help is if necessary. Thanks in advance!

Sounds like a nice sightseeing tour. Pulling a trailer on some of that route will be a bit of a challenge.Lots of hills and curves around Falling Waters. It will also be slow on the "Parkways"in Va. Drive carefully.

Dan,
I'm 1 hour from florence,SC. Don't have time to meet for a beer, but if you break-down I'll be there to help and drink beer on the way. I think you have my cell #

There are a few of us that live in/around Rockville that would love to get together. PM for location?

Wish you were continuing up 95 in NC, I'd love to see the C-GT in person.

Good luck with your trip!

Woops. Brain dead. Enjoy your trip. I mis-read your post and thought you were going to trailer back home. You've got a fun drive ahead of you. We will be out of town when you pass thru our area or I would make myself available to help if you would happen to break down.Enjoy the trip.

I'm in Lynchburg. Only about 30 mins from Buena Vista. Anyone else in this area wanna meet up? I would love to see that car. Glad you're picking up the parkway out here though, there are some awesome driving roads!

Edit: And if you need any help while in the area, I can help if needed.

That's very cool. Wish I could see it. Good luck and send us updates from the road, and lots of pics or you will never hear the end of it.

Well, I live in winter park. So if you need some wrenching help in the first hour or so I'll be available. I work during the day, but let me know if you have time to meet up at night. I stopped by Nort today to get a final look at the car.

Buena Vista, Virginia? How did you find that place? I was actually there this past weekend. My girlfriend was raised in that little blip on the radar. Too bad our paths wont be crossing!

Although I'm in Alexandria now, so maybe Rockville would work?

BTW, the Blue Ridge parkway is slow, but 501 in between Big Island and Buena Vista is pretty nice(you could just get on the parkway in Roanoke, get off at Big Island, have a little fun on 501, and then end up in Buena Vista). Then, the short trip on route 60 to get back onto the parkway is pretty nice, as well.

P.S.: if you try calling it Buaena Veesta Spanish-like(meaning good view), you will be shown little respect. It is pronounced Be-YOU-NA Vista
