So far so good 8)
Although we had a brief moment of concern when the headlights wouldn't immediately illuminate. Also a bit concerned over the running temp. The trek over to Jacksonville tomorrow will be a better indicator...hoping for not too much stop-and-go...

Dan, Dave, Chris (Daves son, right?), Aaron, Minta, and Doug.. great seeing and meeting everyone!
Last but not least.. Chuck.. thank you for the hospitality, and allowing us lowly 944 owners the opportunity to drool all over your garage and it's contents!
And lets not forget, why we went... The car...
Simply amazing to see one, and be allowed to be all over it!
I am sure there will be pictures coming, While I didn't have my camera, there were enough shutterbugs there to capture it all!
Until next time!
Everyone keep it shiny side up!

We made it home tonight at 6:30 PM...and not a moment too soon! Major winter storm predicted in SE MI tonight, and the freezing rain started just as we were exiting I-275 onto Ann Arbor Road. Thankfully the 937 is now tucked safely into her new home with no exposure to road salt!
I want to send out a HUGE thank you to everyone who offered to help and was on standby for the trip. Thankfully, the car was absolutely flawless and the trip completely without incident.
It was fantastic to meet up with so many enthusiasts from 924board, Pelican and Rennlist! Definitely a once in a lifetime trip, and I'll be uploading photos and some short vids in the coming days, along with a complete trip report.
In the meantime, I thought you'd all get a kick out of the preliminary report:
Starting odometer: 41,236
Final odometer: 43,016
Total Miles: 1,780
Total fill-ups: 6
Total gallons: 59.637
MPG, low: 26.00 (22 March)
MPG, high: 33.45 (20 March)
MPG, average: 29.85
I am stunned at the mileage! Unbelievable...and I was not taking it easy. Ever. Simply amazing for a 31 year old car.
