Interesting wheel. Is it just me or doesn't the valve hole lead to the inner rim and not the outer part? How did you put air in the tire? The part number doesn't follow usual format. The offset of 53 implies late (ABS) fitment long after the 931 was out of production. The EBAY listing shows what it fits but leaves me still wondering.

If you look at this picture, the hole you see from afar is just an access hole. The hole behind it continues to the airspace in the tire.

"477" prefix is not uncommon. I can't say how it originates, but it typically refers to parts that float between models. Edit: I think Jinxed is right, VW origin. But this is not a VW part in any way..

EBay shows part number as 477-601-026-D. This P/N is listed as being superseded by the B suffix, which as per petty's pictures, is clearly still this early version.

The 477 prefix is from the 924's VW roots, is it not?

I am surprised they put 16" D90 style wheels on the 931. I have Chros (Arominus) old 944S with 16x7 D90s and the 15" phone dials.

The D90s and brakes seemed to overheat on the track. Has anyone else tracked D90s with stock size 944 brakes?
