I have noticed prices starting to rise too.... Probably because good examples are rare... I saw at least two bite the dust at the track last year.... I think that is a recent trend.... track rats are being purchased cheap and totalled.... in a few years look for prices to continue to climb

The more old beat-up cars that get used up and parted will cause the few nice examples to bring more money as the cost to restore a car will always be high. So people will end up paying a premium for a nice car. That said it may still be years before we see any noticeable gains. Since 1997 when I got my Turbo S I have seen the number of beat up cars for sale increasing and thier prices dropping as you would expect. However nice cars seem to have held pretty strong. Sometimes increasing and other times dropping slightly. Alot does have to do with general market conditions as by now even the 951 is mostly a toy car. Meaning a second car for fun not a car someone will buy to simply daily drive. So as disposable income increases or decreases the value of thes cars will fluctuate accordingly.
