It is because of the angle of the window that makes it become impossible to see out of once the tint is installed if you go to dark with it.

Yes on the hatch window at the angle it is at. I had a state trooper behind me and could not see his car until I looked in the side view mirror.
I still have the 20% on the little side windows. It keeps the items I throw in the back seat private from view.

32% is legal here...I have 20%. I love it because it keeps the sun out, which is great with no A/C. Only bad thing, it's hard to see out the hatch at night when backing up. I, however, haven't had any problem seeing cars behind me at night. Just backing out of someone's dark driveway is tough.

My side windows are tinted. It came like that from the PO. It's not very dark though, I'm guessing 35%. The hatch isn't tinted though.
Just some food for thought, if you decide to tint the hatch glass, make sure that your defroster is working and none of the metal elements across the glass are broken. IIRC you will have to have the tint removed to fix those elements.

i am hoping to get 70 or 75% all around my car sometime soon, anybody have pics of that? (allows 70-75% of light through) i cant run very dark since in CA you cant have any tint on the front windows at all, but if its all around it might pass a quick glance

^^ wouldnt think that CA would be that strict. ive been thinking about tint for years now, but im just scared that wherever i take it will do a ''low quality" job

wth? how would 0% be legal? that means it's opaque....and you can't see your own sideview mirrors. i thought it was federal that you needed either a working center mirror or a pass mirror

So I just picked up the car. The kid couldn't do the back window. I felt bad for him a little bit. When I was at the show and the offered all around for $85 I figured I would give them a shot. Well he tried and said that he couldn't do it in one piece. He also told me that a lot places won't touch that rear glass cause its so hard to do. So now I have to take it to another guy somewhere else who has done 100's of them before. Charging $100. So total cost will be $150 for my windows. I will post the results after its completed.
