I always (but always) catch up to other 944s, and when I wave or give a thumbs up, I get some weird look. Dumb *****, I'm waving cause we drive 44s!! This has happened at least 6 times. Happens with other p-cars too. The only time I get thumbs up is when I'm driving along some supped up veedub or bimmer (and a pickup once). I always talk with the p-car guys at the gas pump though. Oh yeah, I raced the girl who bought the S2 I wanted. she couldnt drive worth crap, so I smoked her (twisties).

I've been working with computers too long. Can't do math for beans anymore!

So, it's 0.5 liters per cylinder. If I had a 6. Right?

BTW: Did you know that there is a direct relationship between the number 6 and ALL KNOWN prime numbers 5 and up? Anyone care to guess what that is? (Trying to redeem my bad math from the last post!)

At the gas pump I noticed a 944S, so I decided to go say hi.....I say, nice car, He takes one look at me (I look like im 14)and goes, uhhh huh. Lookes back up at me and starts going on this sphiel on how these cars are not hondas/toyotas and require lots of attention, blah, blah, blah....... So I wait until he is done listining to himself talk, and say Yeah, my TURBO is over there. The look of pure ignorance was priceless.

This reminds me of all the ads on e-bay for 944's that read 2.5 liter 6 cylinder!

Every prime number after 5 is within one counting number of a multiple of 6.

Ex. 6*2=12 11 and 13 are prime numbers
6*3=18 17 and 19 are prime numbers

Somehow, I figured you'd know! Weird, isn't it? I suppose that would make the number 6 the "key to the universe!" (But we all know the answer to life, the universe and everything is 42!!)

I emailed my college comp. sci. prof asking him if he have any supporting equations for it. If anything, he could use it in his Programming II class when they do recursion!

PS: Sorry for the tangent!

I can't believe you didn't tell him!!! That makes me angry. You didn't need to be a dick about it or anything, but you should've said "Nope. All 944's have four cylinders." If he tried to argue, whatevr, he'd go to the dealer he bought it at and say "Does this thing have four cylinders or six?!" and they'd say "Four." and he'd get all pissed and walk off in a huff as the guy tried to explain that his car was no slower just because he now knew there were only four cylinders...

In addition, if you wanted to, you could've said "oh yeah and mine's a turbobeeeotch!!!" and taken off.

Yeah, that's the general idea...but I don't remember for sure if 0 is a counting number.

Well, 42 IS divisible by 6, which gives us 7. 7 is the canine/human conversion for dog years. A K=1024, so k9 or k x 9=9216, which is twice divisible by 6, which gives you 256. The square root of 256=16, square root of 16=4, square root of 4=2. It's 2 o'clock here, so I proclaim myself the master of the universe, or master of drivel.

Anyways, anyone know some good spots for used 944 parts in central Indiana?

He did recognize my car as a turbo, however I don't understand how he could be so ignorant.

The biggest hint that I knew he hadn't done any type of conversion or anything to his car is the fact that he said "That's faster than this" and also his car could've been kept a little cleaner.

Hell, you could tell him, and if he disagreed, say "Well, it's easy enough to pull over and look!" Of course, I'm sure he wouldn't want to "waste" his time...

I've ran into morons like this- I've only pulled up beside 3 differnt 968's in the ~2 1/2yrs that I've owned my Turbo S, and they were all dicks! I would expect 968 owners to be a little cooler (and I know that many are) as there were so few of them made, that they would seem to be even more of an enthusiast car to own. It can get annoying. But, I've given rides to people who've insisted that mine was at least a 6cyl- I've had to actually open the hood to prove it- like I don't know my own car- oh well, I guess there are people who don't- obviously...

The one 968 owner that I saw on the road and talked to was nice.
I was going left in the turn lane, he was going straight...we were at a red light. He had been behind me for a good little while...

Little chit chat, he said something about these cars being so similar, yet so different (his was a 968 cab). How much power does mine have...about 250, he said yea mine's about the same. He remarked how the cars are pretty close. I decided not to bother telling him I had chips and would waste his *** stock anyway...hehe...there's no need to be a dick like that to a nice guy though.

Agreed- as I had said, it just seems to be the one's I've run into locally. There are, obviously, some very cool 968 owners on this board- too bad they don't live a little closer. Oh yeah, I forgot- I have actually run into one nice 968 owner around here- he was a little younger than the other's (early thirties) and his was Amazon Green... Oh well...
