Underdrive pulley kits
Anyone know of any link's to some company's that sell underdrive pulley kits for N/A 944's?
Also I am looking for the factory A/C compressor ellimination bracket and belt for a 944, does anyone know where I can get these parts from ?
Or would it be possible to get the alternator bracket from a 944 that never had A/C setup in the first place from a JunkYard and use it on my car?
Thank's

Skip where are you???? doesn't Paragon sell this??????? I don't think underdrive pulleys work that good. Maybe perhaps 1-2 HP at the most.

paragon sells an AC delete kit (<a href="http://www.smartcart.com/Paragon/cgi/display.cgi?item_num=944ACDelete3" target="_blank">here</a>)
I can't vouch for it, but if paragon sells it, I'm sure they've used it, and would recommend it.

I'll give you a clue, NOOO. Take the accesory belts off your car and run it down the dragstrip, guarantee that you do not pick up .5 mph in your speed, I am speaking from experience and that is with no belt, so how is just slowing the accesories down going to help, I would think there are better ways to burn your money and time.

Awesome, I'll get them from Paragon since Broadfoot hasn't replied to my e-mails yet. Skip, will I need to raise my idle or worry about anything else when using underdrive pulleys? I also like the billet construction -> lighter weight.

I've got them on my car, and I like them. Noticed that the engine felt more responsive and revved easier in all parts of the powerband. It's simple logic that they do free up some horsepower....even if it's 3 or 4, it's worth it to me if that translates to 1/10th of a second on the autocross course. Whether that gain is worth it is your decision.
They are a nice dress-up item...anodized blue looks good!
I wouldn't recommend them if you do a lot of stop-and-go driving...they make the alternator's output pretty feeble at idle.

Paragon is definitely the place to call. I got my pulley kit from Broadfoot and had to wait forever for them to send it to me. I think they were preparing for Daytona at the time and put there customers on the back burner. Paragon didn't stock it at the time, though they appear to be the same parts.
Paragon stocks the OE AC delete, Broadfoot socks a swanky looking billet piece. Bet it will take you a month or two to get the part from Broadfoot and less than a week UPS regular ground from Jason (Paragon)
