Default Minus 25 degrees celsius, I'm hibernating.

The temperature plummetted last night, and it is damn cold out today. I wanted to work out in the garage this weekend, but it is just not worth it today. So i've been watching movies and reading here and on a few other sites that I frequent, and thinking about some of the projects that I would like to work on.

I've always wondered why people would live where the external environment is not conducive to life

Accidently locking yourself out of your house is an inconvenience for most. I wouldn't want to live somewhere that where I could die if I accidently locked myself out

It's -2*F here right now.

Dude, you haven't lived until you inhale through your nose and your boogies freeze. That's something everyone should experience at least once.

I just happen to be working on a (Wind Mill project) with a company out of Tennesse, the weather out here rigth now is -30-35 f wind chill factor ,in the last 2 days we had an acculumation of aproxx five ft of snow with wind up to 40mph,in fact in the last two days we had to shut down the site, among are crew are fellows worker from Alabama-Tennesse & Missisipi & they seem to adapt pretty darn well to this harsh Canadian winter. LOL the only thing is, that they spend more time in the ditch then on the road when driving their trucks around. And for your info we don't lock ourself outside we have no choice but to stay out to get the job done ,sometime spending 14 to 15hrs working nigth shift. It just a matter of moving around & not standing still otherwise RIGOR MORTIS will set in.Being over 65 yrs old now I'm sometime affraid my old bones will freeze & end up in a neat pile of debris.

Ha! I'm from West Australia originally. Perfectly happy running around in 100-120F. Moved to Florida for a year - pretty happy. Then ended up in Illinois for 3yrs. I almost died. Never seen snow in my life. The 'winter' clothing I brought with me was hardly adequate to function indoors.

Just moved to Tennessee last year because I thought it would be warmer. After all it is further south right? Wrong again. There is ice outside and I haven't been outdoors for almost 2 months. I think I have vitamin D deficiency from lack of sunlight.

I couldn't imagine what Canada is like. When I picture what hell would look like in my dreams I think Northern US/Canada. You know, some place where life struggles to exist. I must admit, snow does look real pretty... until you step outside and realize you might die.. People are nice around these parts though. I wonder where I might end up next??

a good friend of mine is from perth, she saw snow for the first time this year...she's tired of it...

I'm personally very tired of cold weather, i can't even imagine what it would be like if it were 10-20 degrees (F) colder here, i don't think i would open the front door....until march. I, like the guy above me, have no problem in sweltering heat, even in my black on black car....all i need is water and i'll keep going!

My people are Swiss, moved to So. Germany, moved to USA Pa. area in early 1700's, then to Wisconsin ALL COLD places. I liked to froze my a$$ off in Germany the winter of 62 - 63. The Rhine and Moselle Rivers froze over so no barges could move the coal and fuel oil. The trains did not run. They said it was the worst winter in over 100 years and I sure believed it. When I came back to the states from Italy in 73 I was lucky to get stationed here in middle Georgia. I don't go north of Macon, Ga. after the 1st of Nov. anymore. This last storm we did get a powder coat of snow and some ice where I live, but it was gone the next day. All you Snow Birds can keep your cold weather up in your neck of the woods. Beautiful country in the summer months except for those giant bloodsucking mosquitoes you all have up there.

Cheers from Down South,
Larry
