Schlag,

Any pics? How about the mileage?

May be interested, as I could do with a pair of red 944 so that when I'm fixing one, I've got something else to drive.

I'm going to tear into it and at least try to figure out what's wrong. I'll return with my findings.

I'll have to see. Considering I've put thousands of dollars and hundreds of man hours into bringing it to spec (and upgrading), it'd be tough to let go of.

My keeping it depends on a lot of factors, ie. how expensive it will be to repair the oil leak, how my job situation is in a couple of months, etc. .

I jumped the gun initially because I was so pissed off and depressed that after spending 2 weeks working on the oil cooler, it still spills oil all over my driveway/garage floor. <img border="0" alt="[grrrrrrr]" title="" src="graemlins/cussing.gif" />

Schlag.. i know its really obvious, but.. do you know where its leaking from?? Top or bottom?
If I can help- let me know. Post a few pics of the leak point and maybe the Rennlisters will have more ideas for you to check out..
Good luck dude!!!!
I found a complete 944 engine with 40K miles on it for under 500$- runs great. There may be a cheaper alternative..
