Default snow of 2-11-12

I took the 951 to work yesterday in the 6+ inches of snow. All I can say is having the right tires changes everything. I have bridgestone blizzaks on all four wheels. This this is almost unstoppable. I only have about 4 inches of clearance on the car and I was plowing the rest. My neighborhood wasn't plowed in the morning and was untouched by anyone and I plowed up the big hill we have with no problem. I just could go fast because all of the snow would come over the hood and block the windshield.

here's a few pics:

heres a pic from a couple weeks back, went cruising trying to find some trouble with a few buddies. Was mid 40's which was nice for early February here in IL

the bumper pad missing really gets to me though! The old one likes to fall apart over speedbumps.

The last few weeks have been nasty around here. However, I did get my daily driver back so now the 944 is just waiting for a day to reach over 30° before she gets a bath.

The 944 is AMAZING in the snow with the RIGHT tires. Non studded directionals ROCK in the snow. Like the OP said: Unstoppable. I have the Hankook Winter iPike's.

You literally CAN NOT stop laughing when driving these cars in the snow. Not just because of how much fun it is and how unbelievably stable and forgiving it is in the snow, but I think more so because of the looks on EVERYONES face that you drive by, that see's you accelerate faster and stop faster than ANYTHING else on the roads. Lol!

These pics are from this year, which was the first time I had ever taken the 944 in the snow. Truly is an amazing car. Germans knew what they were doing when building these cars. Ooop's, STILL know what they are doing

Oh ya, I even made an in car video of how well it does in the snow. Nothing wild or crazy. Maybe a little longer than some care to sit and watch, but its fun for someone who has yet to take theirs in the snow. Maybe make them change their mind's
http://youtu.be/moOvRmKadMo

Oh ya, the little laughs I have. Ya, just little thoughts in my head, ignore those

I only drive it on nice days in winter. I drive my Jeep on bad days. It was really nice one day last week, so I drove the 944. It was supposed to flurry in the morning. I figured I would pull it into the garage when the wife left for work as I was off. This is what I woke up to.
