Default strut brace which one?

I have looked and found 2 different styles/models of strut brace's, one is an adjustable round bar the other is the Race Dynamics, there is about a $100 difference in price, what are, if any benefits of one over the other?

Personally, I like the racing dynamics one more than the usual one - because it doesn't have a pivot at both ends. With the pivots, what to stop the whole front end from shifting like a parallelogram?

I've heard the lower chassis braces like this one: http://www.rsbarn.com/968chassisbrace.htmlhelp more than the upper strut tower ones. But it requires that you get an alignment. Just something to look into.

the one from RS Barn does not require an alignment.

Both braces up front and one in the rear really stiffen up the chassis.

what would you suggest for a rear brace and where? seems to me with the trunk floor between the wheels and the torsion beam there wouldnt be much give, although ive wondered about a beam between the upper shock bolts being effective in any way

Weltmeister makes a rear harness bar/chassis brace, so does BK. The BK bar has 4 mounting points vs 2 on the weltmeister bar. These do little to stiffen the chassis, but do help none the less. next step would be a roll cage.

I'd also recomend upgraded sway bars before adding braces. My 968 Coupe has a Design 1 Lower Chassis Brace, Weltmester Rear Chassis/Harness Brace, Design 1 Strut Brace, M030 Front Sway bar, & LR 5-Way Adjustable Rear Sway Bar.

I have the KLA brace. I have heard folks grumble at the swivel joints (heim?) at the ends.....I will say that it gave the car a more firm, planted feeling on the track.

I'm sorry, but you could build that with very few tools, for about $50. Mcmaster carr sells everything you need. Tap the bar for the heims, and its done.
