Odurindana, You obviously drive your car a lot. I drive my car for weekend short cruises. There is huge difference for what you are looking for and what I am looking for. Obviously a system like this is much more suited for my needs. As far as you saving me money, I really don't think you saved me one penny because my original question said nothing that I was buying anything. Let's stick to facts. I appreciate all the good information and that is what I was looking for. There was also a lot of bad information passed along saying these guys where complete scammers which I think has been debunked. At one point I think even you were lumping Thomas Night in with the $29 blow dryer guys. Hopefully the legitimate systems will continue to develop and some better options will develop in a few years.

debunked ? 1, 2 hp is not evidence, none whatsoever, that this product does anything as claimed. none.

I know it is not much gain Ourandina, but the problem I have is with the people who just claim it is fruad and thats all they say. Whether the eram does everything claimed or not is a very fair criticism, you could say that about most automotive products. I am just saying do not lump them in with the $29 blow dryer guys. That is my main point. I also do'nt feel like I was "saved" any money. I do feel like I gained a lot of knowledge on this, and I thank a lot of you for your contributions, learning is what this was really about in the first place. I did the searches before I made the OP, there was just some things I did not find answers too. Now when someone inquires about this in the future there will more information than even before to research.

that 1-2hp could also be a simple run-to-run variance on the dyno, as well.

let me correct that post using the real numbers from the test:


the test results clearly demonstrate it's at least a 96~97 % scam w/ a margin of error of about 3~4 %.

A few people have mentioned that these can not make a difference at 6000rpms because the suction is already so great. Just because you are WOT does not mean you need to be at full RPM right? Could these be giving gains at lower rpms that some test to do not show? Now do'nt get your panties in a bunch. This is not something I am saying is happening, I am just asking questions.

For the E-Ram I would be impressed if it flowed well enough to not be a *restriction* at WOT and full RPM. That is to say even if it added an HP or two down low I'd expect it to also shave a few off the top as it stops helping and starts being in the way.

1-2 HP I feel is not significant and I would doubt you could consistently measure that effect on a dyno. That is to say if you ran it ten times with and without and swapped back and fourth a few times I doubt you would see a trend. 1-2HP could come from hotter oil in the engine and trans so you can't do just a before and after at this scale. You would want to do a few pulls, install the kit, do a few pulls, take the kit off (not just switched off) do a few pulls, lather, rinse, repeat.

Waste of $ IMO.

I like the idea of a small system being made from the Turbodyne. That is obviously a real application on some newer small engines that produces real boost. Did anyone look at the specs of that product and see how much power it needs for a 10 sec. run? The problem I guess would be to get it out of the way when it is not on WOT. I wonder if a double air passage flap would work?

If you are still referencing the knight product....the Eaton m62 and m90 these products appear to be based on have integrated bypass valves that divert flow around the supercharger.

I agree. Just tell the guy the thing will boost his horsepower 40 HP. He will go and buy it and be happy. Washing and waxing my car adds 20hp, new floor mats add 10 more HP and new wiper blades increase braking by 20%. That is my story and I am sticking to it. And if I eat enough chili and fart in the gas tank my 0 - 60MPH drops a full second.
