Default Service manual options for 16v engine cars?

I am looking for service manual type documentation for the 3.0 liter (16 valve) engine from the S2. My current documentation is totally inadequate.

Leads on obtaining good data would be much appreciated.

Do you have the FSM, Engine Volume 1-A (16V engines)? I just sold my complete set and it covers everything up to the 968. Even the usual CD pdf versions cover the 16V engines. I also have the S2 spec book in pdf I can send you.

Steve,

My service manual only covers the 8v engines. There is almost nothing relevant to the 16v engines. I'm sure I just need the later volume that covers the more recent developments (i.e. volume 1-A).

Dillon - that looks like it will help me as well. Thanks.

931 - care to explain?

you need volume 1A Engine 16 valves. Second from left on the picture.

I have the complete factory set with tech. spec. booklet too, + 1999 reference catalog, and I printed complete turbo volume few days ago.

Link looks very helpful, though it instantly downloads to temp file when you click the sublinks.

Is that the basis of the "spam reported" comment?

Or am I missing something else?

Steve, that Spec book is different than volume 1-A? I'd be interested in taking a closer look at that; never seen it before.

It's 42 pages of torque specs and tolerances not found in the FSM's. It was a small notebook format. Send me an email address by PM and I'll forward it to you, PM's won't accept pdf format

In the FSM is a section called DME-Diagnosis/Troubleshooting, 944S, 944S2.
Indispensable.
