Hi
I have a 1986 951 and looking to put on 18" rims on it
However im trying to figure out this whole offset deal and fitting them on
The rims are
Front 18x8.5 with a 30mm offset
Rear 18x10 with a 25mm offset
these rims are also a different lug pattern
so I found the correct pattern adapters, that are 32mm wide
Stock I believe
1986 951: 10.6mm Front, 23.3mm Rear
would I need any more spacers, or look for thinner adapters?
ANY help is greatly appreciated!

It sounds like those wheels are going to poke out beyond the fenders once you put the adapters on. I think any adapter will be too thick, using that offset.

I used an offset calculator and I guess that with the spacer the rear rims(10x18) would extend 5.5cm (2.17 inches) over stock rims(8x16), and I am guess that it might hit the fender? and that the inner clearance would be 5mm (.2 inches) more than stock. Now the front rims(8.5x18) would extend 5.0cm (1.9 inches) and the inner clearance would be 1.2cm (.47 inches) more. So I dont know if anything will rub or if it will be too big, I hope with fender rolling they might fit.

The fronts will stick out almost 1-3/4" over stock and the rears will stick out just over 2-1/8" over stock using the minumin 1-1/4" wheel spacer.
These wheels won't work unless you go widebody or jack the car up like a 4x4.

My friends cousin had one sitting around, he was a vw guy so he gave me a good deal on it. I gave him a deposit on it after I checked it out. But I probably wont get to work on it for another 3 months because my garage is currently full, so I'm just going slowly buy parts over the winter and around the end of Feburary I want to start working on it. And yeah, we should definitely meet up.

You should look for wheels with the correct lug pattern, 5x130. That way you won't have the issue of trying to shove spacer-adapters in there. Most good looking porsche wheels are high offset so you will need spacers to make them fit your '86, and then you can get whatever spacer you want for the exact look you want.
Or buy Steve's awesome wheels which are the right offset and look killer!
