good stuff.
just a suggestion.... for just a little more you can get a proper Porsche 968 CS wheel.
if you ever drive a CS wheel, it's an addiction (thick, best part designed for the 968 after the motor ahahah).
nicest Porsche steering wheel ever. worth every penny.

ya i know about that wheel.... its nice for stock, but i really like the feel of a suede momo... looks more race too.
Right now i've got a grant gt "gt rally" and i dont like it because its not 100% round all the way around, and when you're half way through a corner and both your hands are on two different heights of the wheel it feel wrong

here's mine - absolutely LOVE it
though, not Mod 7
if I were to go with a different one - I would go with a Nardi Deep Corn probably, though for the price, both Mod 7 looks like a NICE bargain ... I wanted one for a while

Mike,
That's the Momo Competition wheel. I have one in my 951. My only complaint is its a bit too small to see the outer gauges correctly. But it does give you much more room then the airbag wheel.

Doug- thanks for the reminder on the name. You're right, it can be a bit tough for me to see the water temp gauge and the 1-3k range on the tach, but for me, having the extra legroom more than makes up for the inconvenience of having to crane my neck every once in a while.
Also, i think that the smaller diameter wheel improved the steering feel on my car a bit - smaller wheel gives you a shorter lever arm on the steering column.

I just put a Mod 07 leather wheel in and wish did it a long time ago. I was sort of on the fence about it since i bought this car a few years ago because i wanted to keep the airbags, after reading the thread on Pelican about the spontaneous airbag deployment i decided to disable them for good.
I love the wheel, perfect diameter and feel. Also the concave dish on it moves it about an inch closer to you making for a nicer driving position, also makes it harder to hit the stalks for the turn signal and wipers (i dont need to pull the fuses before heading out on track anymore ). The standard airbag wheel is huge and i cant believe i put up with it for so long. Even the standard non airbag wheel is pretty big.
Unless you wear gloves all the time when you drive, i would not go with the suede. It will look like **** after a year, trust me. I had a Momo Champion in my n/a and the top suede half looked like complete crap due to the oils and sweat from your hand.

right now ive got a grant gt wheel which is literally a finger width away from the turn/wiper stalks.... id like 1 more inch away from that, but yours looks like its 4-5" away
