Post Rare 944 FS: Special Rennlist Member Price

I am selling the Callaway to finance the 3.6 Conversion on the 911. 1 of 38 cars originally done by Reeves Callaway.
Details here
<a href="http://members.rennlist.com/tholyoak/CallawayForSale.htm" target="_blank">http://members.rennlist.com/tholyoak/CallawayForSale.htm</a>
special Rennlist member price of $7000, not a member $7500. Hopefully it will go to an enthusiast rather than being stuck up on Ebay
Email holyoak@brandeis.edu, but you really have to drive it to see how much fun it really is.

Thanks
Todd

Anyone want to loan me $7000? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

Anyways, nice car. May take a while to sell, but if you were willing to wait you could probably get like $10k for such a rare car in such great conditon.

Wish I had the cash. Not many of them out there, especially rebuilt. <img border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" title="" src="graemlins/bigok.gif" />

284 HP (6000rpm), 230 ft lbs torque (4000 rpm) at 10 psi, and a lot less lag due to the mounting of the turbo on the exhaust manifold, quite a bit quicker than my chipped '86 turbo

I'm sure with some fortifying of the internals you could definitely raise the boost up on that beast.

I also wish I had $7000....

Hope she goes to someone who appreciates it!!!

Good luck

Internals are more than strong enough to handle extra boost (early cars had forged rods that later were used on the early turbos before they too were switched to cast). Problem is detonation, I typically run 12 psi in the cooler months, with an ignition boost retard setup you can run 15 lbs, after that the small IHI turbo gets out of its range

15 PSI would yield what, roughly 350+HP and 325 ft/lbs Torque...?
Let me reiterate that I wish I had an extra $7000...
