How rare is an LSD in an NA
My '86 NA has option 220 LSD. It seems Even the later turbos and S2's don't come with the option stock. Why is this? It seems everybody would want it. Does anybody know where I can find the stats on how many were shipped with the option.

My 87S has it listed as a $2,000 installed option. Along with $2,000 for 16" wheels added up to make the sticker price on my car over $41,000

When i bought my 86 na it needed a trany, so i went to the local pick your part and bought one for $125.00 and pulled it from an early NA. it not only had this option but looked recently rebuilt. Quite happy.

Ok, so it definitely stretches across all years. Before I came to rennlist in March I never really had the opportunity to talk to other 944 owners and always figured it was standard. I guess I can't really picture not having it, seems like it would take away that awesome little bit of push you get on turn out....
Whats it like driving one without?
Is the LSD R+P any stronger than standard?
