yuliang helped me with mine. we actually had to get a prybar between the tt and bell housing and pry it forward, as the other person was outside trying to pull away from the tt.

your supposed to go from the bottom. Remove crossmember and its cake. If you take it from the top you have to be really crafty and try to angle the motor such that you can free the driveshaft from the bell housing. If you have a leveler that works but if not you need a friend to help.

or you could go the longer route (but really easy during install) and remove the trans and push the tt back. i did that after i took the engine out. it made the install pretty easy. i had one of my friends help me drop the engine in, he's never even changed oil before and he said it was easy.

the only problem with that is more parts you have to put back on.

well that is better than what i was getting at. getting the pry bar in there haha.. but yeah ive pulled and swapped these motors like 6 or 7 times and re installed them. but ive never ran into this problem. like i couldnt get it out of the car and i cant get it back in. it just stays a solid inch fron the TT and the bell housing. i dont know, but tomorrow is another day and a day to cool off from throwing sh*t ahaha

thanks guys

Just yank all this out, you don't need it...

Removing the radiator will give you a little more room to swing the engine forward to de-couple it from the torque tube.

if you yank it from the top you dont have to mess with steering at all which is nice. and putting the motor back in the top isnt difficult, and you can just slide the tt into the back again
