Default My flywheel and pressure plate are naked. What to coat them with?

Any day now, I will finally be performing the dreaded clutch job upon my car. To match my bundle of shiny-new parts, I glass bead blasted my pressure plate and flywheel (yes, it has been resurfaced) to remove the rust that has grown since it's removal.
Right now, they're both completely bare and vulnerable to rust once again. What do you guys recommend I paint, coat, or plate these things with? I can't seem to find zinc chromate in a rattle can, or even to pour into my spray gun reservoir.

Any help? TIA!

I don’t have a suggestion for coating. I simply painted the FW TDC location with white paint. I’ll also be painting the timing mark tab on the bell housing a bright color too.

Most importantly have them both balanced. Just got my FW and PP back from the machine shop and was surprised at the material removed from the PP, FW just a bit.

I used a high temp paint a few years ago and it is still holding fine. I did a silver color on the flywheel so I could see the marks easier.

OK, and since you put it out there, ZC is electro deposited, which is why you cant find it in spray form...

Many marine stores have it.

We used a lot of zinc chromate primer on aircraft when I was in the Navy.

The zinc spray works well, also known as cold galvanizing. We use it on bare metal flanges that see sea water which is a pretty extreme case.

Thanks everyone. I do remember ZC being sold in a spray can years ago - even the local guys at the paint supply shops admit to having it in the past, but eventually stopped carrying it.

Great idea on the silver/white. I didn't even think about the timing marks!
