Default Rear bumper options

I have seen some of the options, but I'm curious as to how nice these actually turn out. I have a 951 so I have a nice front end I would like the rear bumper to be a bit smoother. Is the euro bumper smaller? Aftermarket options?

you can shave the rubber pads, it looks much better without them

I plan to shave and push mine in alittle as shown here. You take off the end caps, chop them, then plastic weld the holding 'tabs' back on.\

I agree...Euro looks the best to me.

How would I go about changing over?

The Texas Performance is identical to the AIR one. When you put a nice, short bumper on, the rear diffuser actually looks like a diffuser. With the long American bumpers, it looks like a drip pan.

Agreed, go for Euro rear. It looks the best on our cars.

Best way to source one is thru eBay UK. I have purchased a lot of euro parts thru there.

Be prepared to do a little fiberglass work. These cars are old and chances are the bumper will have taken a knock or two and cracked the mount areas. Not a big deal, but just be aware. Also try to get one complete with the rubber strip in good shape as they can be difficult to find.

Yep, eBay.UK is the best route. Hardest thing is finding someone willing to ship it stateside. I bought mine i think 3-4 years ago. I think i paid less than $50 for the bumper and about $160 for shipping. The n/a style euro rear's go for uber cheap, for comparison my car and Tifo's have the n/a euro rear. The difference between that and the turbo euro rear is a narrower impact strip on the n/a bumper and no provision for a rear tow hook.

Remember you also need the euro bumper mounts (two of them), standard bumper shocks do not work.

I found a euro rear bumper at the Dunkles swap meet (Anaheim, CA) about 8 years ago for $15. I still need to patch the rubber strip holes and paint it.

Is there any way to adapt a euro rear bumper to the US bumper shocks? I have a euro rear bumper I just bought but it did not come with shocks. I have not yet tried to test fit it or anything but I'm sure there is a way to modify it to work?

On my other car I have a fiberglass euro replica bumper from IFC Racing out of Ohio. Fitment was excellent and easy to mount... but it got bent downward just a tiny bit before I got the chance to get a picture of it. That's why it looks just a little bit droopy in the pics. The product was very very nice though. I had to eliminate the bumper shocks entirely also, but I mainly use this car on the track anyway so it doesn't matter much.

you can get Fiberwerks, IFC, or GT Racing rear bumper

some are like turbo bumpers, some are bigger in size

I'll be going with Texas Perfomance front and rear bumpers - after seeing their work with the headlight conversion - and their prices are much better as well
