Default K26/6 to K26/8 question?

Hey guys I was wondering what's need to convert from a k26/6 to a k26/8?

I know the turbo
And gaskets for the turbo

Is there any modification needed to mount the baby or is the original piping and such usable?

Thanks a lot...

Use your special tool.

Here is your description of it:

This worked for me... I got a special tool... you may call it a brick but I prefer an "unlocking apparatus" or the U.A. Tool for short....

Remember you need the chip from a Turbo S or '89 Turbo also.

And the S chips are 28 pin chips. 86-87 cars are 24 pin (don't know about 88 non-S cars).

The DME chip isn't significantly different - not enough to worry about.
The 86-78 DME is 24pin, the 88-89 DME is 28pin (regardless if they were S cars or not).

RogueAnt who made your k27/8? I've got a busted one on the way and rather than having it rebuilt I'd rather just get it upgraded.

Original Powerhaus... But any of the decent shops should be able to do the conversion for you. Places like Majestic turbo, Gpopshop, ect.
