Check with Classic Nine Leather Shop. I sent all of my stuff to them, door panels included. You will need to open up your wallet!

Yeah i've seen their pricing, but it looks like excellent quality. You do indeed get what you pay for.

porsche _968 ,this is not my steering wheel ,mine is a 968 Sport Club one ,the one seen in the pic is a MOMO -NERO steering http://www.momousa.com/products/nero...ring-wheel.htm (once on the site click products + steering wheels then on the yellow arrow bottom rigth of page 5, once you find the NERO -click on the pic).Once you get the steering you can either source the horn button but they are(expensive) or get a grafik shop to make you one like I did for my DINO on my ex 944 ,cost will usually run around $15.00.You stick it on on top of the MOMO logo ,as you can see in the pic of the Dino it does look good.

As someone who owns both a 944 and MkV GTI, I think you're way over you're head with this idea. There is a pretty big (relatively speaking) size difference in the panels.

I can appreciate your ideas, but I'm a little curious as to why you want to change it so much? Who cares if it's not modern looking? It's not a modern car. Embrace it's old-ness

Right, but it doesn't mean the OP is going to read it...

Personally I love the interior of the 85.5 and newer cars. I like the minimal look of it. Yeah you can send stuff out to be recovered but the design of the interior is refreshing compared to most cars and sports cars made these days.

I had an early '85. I hated the interior at first but over the course of a year or so it really grew on me. My only thing now is 90% of them are brown.

Ok...but I was replying to the OP. Hence why I said 'D'oh' afterwards. That whole GTI door panel thing ain't gonna work.
