Can anyone confirm if the airbags on a 1989 951 are disconnected when the aribag lamp is lit? What we have done is disconnect the drivers side airbag, then connected it again. This turned on the light in the dashboard.

I have searched this forum and some say the airbags will not deploy when the light is lit, some say it will. I am very worried about this as we need to fit a child seat in the front passenger seat of my girlfriends 951. Thank you!
