Default Anyone installed a Bluetooth Headunit?

I was curious if anyone has added a bluetooth headunit to one of these cars and how involved the process was.

I have one in my 95 e34 and its just as simple as installing any other HU. Just find a spot for the mic. We clipped mine to the headliner on the drivers side. Out of the way, but still works great.

I installed an Alpine unit in my 951 and it was pretty easy. I mounted the microphone to the a-pillar trim piece.

So it wasn't hard to get it all installed and setup properly?

Did anyone run the ipod cable to their Center Console.

make sure your bluetooth HU is capable of A2DP if you're considering streaming music from your phone

I have the Sony MEX-BT2500 . This is a 1st generation unit. It works great. Im sure the newer versions are even better. There was an adapter kit to convert the old harness to the new radio. Just plug them together and your off and running.

And it came with a cable to plug an ipod into the unit.
