I think it's funny when someone calls it a volkswagen in attempt to make me mad. And I just tell them how much I love volkswagens and how much I love having my engine in "the wrong place". Mostly I try not to get offended anymore, and rather, try and find humor in it.

A lot of people call my Ducati a Ninja. (it's debadged, painted black, with an italian flag on it) so when they ask if it's a ninja... most the time i just say yes.

i don't think many people understand the 924/931/944/951/968 line of Porsches. i don't think they are recognizable as Porsches to most people. what's up with that?!
on second thought, i dont think most people understand cars in general.

I haven't had anyone comment on what it is - yet - but they do pronounce Porsche wrong when they do get it right (there's no need to correct them, though).
