Looks I stayed in my class and actually did get an award...I contacted the chairman to see what I could do. Also, I left a 1/2 drive ratchet and 2 bottles of fluids there by accident (obviously)...Anybody seen em? I contacted him about that also.

Howie, if you do a DE maybe I could tag along? I'd like to check it out...but not sure if I'm ready to do one yet.

None of my buddies at school understand how much fun driving around some cones in a parking lot can be!

howie the site is
<a href="http://amatophotography.photoreflect.com" target="_blank">photos</a>
if I remember right...when I get home I'll check his flyer again. I looked at the website and no pics were up yet so maybe I'm wrong.

As far as the black car goes (from metro ny pca site)
Stephen Grodin 778 61.623 in class P22

adrial they must have changed the classes from whats printed in their literature it says P7 is the 944S, 944 (89) class. It also says P22 is the 996 turbo class and the black car is clearly not a 996! do you know anything about this, or am I just stupid?

Hey...where's the P3 cars? Not a single 924/924S/944? Tom, I hope Ray isn't hangin' out with the concours guys now.

A handful of mods can bump a car to another class. If there is only 1car in a class, they bump it to the next class up (why Adrial ended up in another class for a while, and Manny's 912 is P4 instead of P2). I'll throw you all another curve, NNJR uses it's own class system in order to simplify things. For us it's easy P3 is S3, and all the 944S/S2/951/S & 968 cars from P7 & P8 become S7. Any of these cars with certain mods, get put in I1, instead of being bumped within the production classes.

Dave,
Ray had his daughter for the day so he played hookey. My wife didn't feel well so I went alone.

I hooked Adrial up with the FTD winner (old score, miata) as an instructor in the afternoon.

I lent my car to Henry in the afternoon. he didn't walk the course, and instantly shaved 10 seconds off my best time. Now that I have an idea what my car can do on balding 8000's i better start studying!

There was gonna be a lot of bumping of classes, but it was too damn cold & windy to input it into the computer. It doesn't matter in the long run as long as everyone had fun.

As I'm typing I checked the results. The corrected results are up. I still suk! and modified 4 cyl isnt posted.

Manny's 912 got bumped up with Don's 914 2.0, and P6 is all 944's. Adrial, sorry you just lost 8 points, you got bumped to P8

OOPS! P3...P6...I really should know my own class. Guess these paint fumesmust be getting to me.

It looks like a good time was had by all, and that's what counts.

Adrial, there's no turning back now, you're one of us

[quote] 6th run, no instructor, OC..I saw the cones in front of me and I just went around them...stoopeedd...no biggy <hr></blockquote>

When in doubt, hit the cone. The penalty is better than the DNF.

<a href="http://amatophotography.photoreflect.com/" target="_blank">http://amatophotography.photoreflect.com/</a>
At the above link..it helps a lot if you change it so that it shows a lot more pics per page..no pics of my car though. Oh well.

Yo yo. Hey not bad Adrial, still got second place in a class! But, yes, the classes seem to be very different on the results page compared to the list in the FAQ and on the hand-out we got, oh well.

It was indeed a lot of fun, even though I sucked it up on the course and went off-course 4 of my 6 times! I'm really not sure if I went off course that many times, although I know for a fact I missed a lot of stuff on my last 2 runs, oh well, live and learn! Next time I want to see if I can get my friend and his RSX to run, and/or maybe even my dad in a stock 95 Maxima, hah! Why not?

Standing out in the cold and picking up cones really did me in, especially since I didn't bring a jacket (yes I am very smart, thanks) for the 30 degree weather. Even still, I want to do it again, and it was very cool.

I brought my friend along and he was taking pictures with my digicam from the sideline, so I took the liberty of putting them all up on a Yahoo! Photo album thing, if anyone is interested they are all here:
<a href="http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/p_car944s/lst?.dir=/Tobay+Beach+AutoCross+3-17-2002" target="_blank">Tobay Beach Autocross Pictures</a>

I met a couple of cool Rennlisters too: Adrial (i forgot to return my helment and 10 miles up the road i realized and came back - good thing too since i gave them my drivers license for it! i woulda picked up your stuff for you but i didnt notice it) and Spidey (Mark) and his dad, and I guess I met Howie (you had the black 911? It was fun to see that Miata guy tear up the course, wow! I'm definitely going to try to make it to the April 7th meet. Enjoy the pics!

(me coming at the final turn, yea!)
