Probably noticeable at 3mm or greater over stock size. Does anyone have any feedback on this (has one on there NA or knows where to get one)

Probably not power improvement, but an increase in throttle response which to the SOTP will feel like a big increase. The only way it would provide a power increase is if it's a big pinch point in the system. That's pretty doubtful.

Ive done it does nothing.Like the previous post you feel like it makes power but doesnt (placebo affect).There are better ways of making HP than oversized throttle bodies.The aftermarket throttle cam will give you the same affect(feeling) that and large bore TB will for way less.The problem is the stock 944 engine flows way less CFM than the stock TB is capable of delivering.My suggestions for power delivery that worked on my NA 1. exhaust system with cat bypass 2.Webb cam 3.chip by reputable tuner 4.Working on that now <a href="http://WWW.GURURACING.NET" target="_blank">WWW.GURURACING.NET</a>

At the buterfly on the throttle body is the smallest point of the 944's intake system (not counting the AFM). Boaring it the 3mm or so over stock will bring it up to the same size as the other components so I cant see how it will hurt.
I did catch that auction but it was with core charge and with out TPS and Cam. How much do you think a total cost for one would be for a complet setup with TRC and TPS included? $200 ... $300 ... What do you guys think?

I got mine from AJ-USA, there are others who advertise in Excellence that can bore your TB out and return it to you. I paid something like $250 + core exchange.
It didn't do much. I'd spend the cash on something else if I were you.

OK, while we are on the topic of intakes (especially NA) lets go off on a tangent:
I saw a topic posted recently about aftermarket plenums. One of the posters indicated that the plenum had been polished out, I believe internally. From what I have read recently in several publications about porting and such, polishing is a really big waste of effort on the intake side. I have not really seen any indication as to why, other than it really doesn't do much. Why? Does this have to do with the boundry layer? Does it have to do with swirling air moving faster than smooth air and that since the rough cast surface produces swirling air it actually is more beneficial than not?
Also, regarding boring out throttle bodies, if you bore out a throttle body (on an NA application), aren't you reducing the velocity of the air as it enters the plenum? Kind of like how a nozzle on a jet engine opens and closes to increase or decrease flow. Or like a nozzle on a garden hose.

The velocity picks back up on the runners going to the intake valves, you are just giving a larger mass of air to the plenum, more pressure, higher end velocity?
