Post OT -- Boxter guy on **** Public Radio

On NPR this morning (Sat.) some orthadontist on the 'What do you know' show tried to get Michael Feldman to pay for part of his speeding ticket he got on the way to the show -- 87 in a 55 -- 32 over. I think the were in Chicago and the audience ooohed pretty good -- don't know what it will set him back but didn't sound cheap! Feldman's paying to have braces put on one of his kids teeth and was very unsimpathetic toward the mid-lifer. Feldman said once the cop found out he was an orthadontist he had zero chance of getting off! The orthadontist said it wasn't a mid-life crisis car because it wasn't red, it was gray! Ha!

And they're hardly *****. For that, try Limbaugh or Coulter.

I agree. It's the one bastion of intelligence on radio airwaves.

That's interesting - Rush Limbaugh, one of the biggest supporters of minimal government being called a ****(National Socialist Workers Party?!?! Come on...think before you type)...I think you are thinking of somebody like Senator Daschle. None of Limbaughs views wish to have the government tell people how to live their lives - nearly of all of Daschle's and the left wing folks do.

Are you kidding me? Rush would have an opinion on the way ANYONE chooses to live his/her life.
what's the difference?

Oh yeah - Rush wouldn't want the government to interfere with HIS life... I forgot the distinction there for a moment...

Rush was more interesting way back when his views weren't simply liberal(non-republican)-reactionary.

**** applies, I'd think, in that Rush and crew would love to modify YOUR behavior.

In my opinion, of course.

I'm not sure what you mean by "interfering with HIS life" - are you suggesting that he supports different laws for different people? Interesting, I am a daily listener and don't remember this segement. Maybe you can fill me in on the details.

I think its rather obvious that people have opinions on other people...kind of goes without saying and Rush certainly isn't any different (likewise I never claimed that he didn't have opinions). However there is a huge difference between having opinions and pushing for government action (although our liberal society and media would like to make you think otherwise).

I listen to Rush all of the time...and I can't recall all of these instances where Rush is pushing for the government to dip into people's personal and corporate matters (quite the opposite actually). I just don't understand how somebody who pushes for minimal government(less government = less control over people's lives...pretty basic stuff) could be called a **** whereas liberals pushing for a huge federal body(****'s were some of the biggest fans of large government in world history) are excused from this title. Personally, I think that neither group is really deserving of the title...I'm just responding to the discussion.

BTW - Trying to change people's behavior through talk show persuasion is completely different than forcing people to action through laws in their society. The two are so completely different - I can't even begin to see the similarities. I guess you could say that advertising firms are all ***** too. After all, they would love to modify your behavior.

The logic just doesn't work here...my $.02.

Everyone seems to not notice corporate control of America. Keep government out of corporate business! Rush is certainly a defender of individual freedom with his own views!

Interestingly enough, I disagree with as much liberal diatribe as I do conservative. One thing that bores me, however is a propoganda or party position pushing machine. Hence my comments on Rush. (yawn)

As a loyal listener, I bet you could write his show. No offence intended to you, seriously. I value your opinions as an individual. However, when I used to listen to his radio show in college, you knew what he was going to say/where he was going before he said it... I'd be shocked, quite frankly, if anything has changed.

I just lost a post that basically said I agree with you on some points (corporate control) and respect your opinion but I feel that corporate control is not necessarily a bad thing.

I wouldn't be spending time on this thread if I didn't repect your opinion.

Rush Limbaugh is an exploitative profiteer, and if you develop your relationships with other actual human beings absed in any way on his influence, I feel sorry for you.
