Post Vancouver Sea-to-Sky - What a RIDE!

Maybe I missed it, but I haven't seen a wrap-up post to this weekend's Pacific Northwest excitement.

Excellent weather, excellent cars, and outstanding people! I had a great time driving, talking, and generally hangin' out. Thanks so much to Randy and the rest of the BC crowd for the organization and execution of this event.

Hopefully everybody made it home safe and sans any brushes with the law. Randy said it best: "Special thanks to all the Hondas for playing Rabbit" - RCMP was out in force, and I honestly can't believe the *luck* we had

Here's the crowd [click to enlarge]:

And, here's a neat shot [click to enlarge]:

And, here's me [click to enlarge]:

Thanks, eh!

I second that!!
What a great day. Many thanks to Skip for providing excellent draw prizes from Paragon Products - you guys are great!! And thanks Skip for getting up so early to join us for the day. I think a great time was had by all. I suspect Randy will chime in once he reads this, and hopefully provide other Rennlisters with the link to his photo gallery.

So Skip...DE...Mission...Thursday? Hope you can make it!

Geez, office hours get in the way too much....

Skip, thanks for coming up - and bringing PRIZES / GIFTS! You are definitely on the invite list for the next one. You are right on our luck - those 5 squad cars sure picked the Hondas on Sunday.... and that last one really gave me the eye as I rolled by... that all knowing look - I thought we were toast for sure - hmmmm... 1 Honda or 6 Porsches..... that would have made his daily quota in 1 shot. All in all, I thought we were well behaved though.

The photos are up on the web and so are videos.
for still photos: http://gallery.rennlist.com/gallery/Sea-to-Sky-BC

and for the videos:
http://www.geocities.com/jangr88/ (the videos run on MS Media Player or Real Player - sorry, no MAC platform) If you have trouble downloading, check to make sure your firewall is disabled.

Stay tuned for the DE videos I'll shoot on Thursday. Travis will be out to shoot stills / ride with the video.

I went to Whistler this summer. Man that Sea to Sky was an awesome run.
And I did it for a week in the world's best car.

A rental car, a Pontiac Grand Am.

Built for Drivers ! LOL

Searching some old threads and came over this one. I am moving to Vancouver soon and this sounds like a fun drive. Is it a annual thing? Who organizes it?

On another note, are there any decent mechanics or shops in Vancouver other than Porsche dealer?

Hi Clint,
Well, that was the first of hopefully many more group drives. That was last fall, and we're now talking about organizing a Spring cruise within the next month or so. Email me your email address and I'll ad you to the list.

Hi Clint!

Weissach is awsome for parts prices and customer service.

SCAN auto in North Van is great, my car is there right now getting re-tensioned.

Also, Otto's in Port Coquitlam is good too.

Those three are the only 3 I'd recommend for your beloved Porsche.
