Default Came across some really rare full leather bits - Pics!

Picked up these burgundy full leather interior parts from Mark in Ohio. On the 944 the only items that were real leather were the steering wheel, shifter boot, parking brake handle and fronts of the seats. The full leather option also added leather to the lower part of the door panel and door pull, lower portion of the dash, center console and armrest, rear seats and backs of the front seats.

In my 14 years + of driving 944s and 8 years of Rennlist and 12 years of ebay I've only seen one other non black full leather interior and it was that oyster like off white on an 87 or 88 944 S. I've seen a handful of black full leather interiors pretty much all on black or red 944 turbos. I've only seen one black 10 speaker full leather interior and it was on a convertible 944 S2.

The rear seat was damaged pretty badly by the cut dash in shipping so I am looking for factory burgundy leather to fix it - maybe from a burgundy front seat someone has around?

Would love to find a nice 86 944 factory pearl car to install all of this in

Here is a thread I started a while ago about the full leather interior option on the 944s.

How do you plan on using the lower dash?

That buddy of mine Albert was able to peal the lower leather portion off a black dash and apply it to his dash pretty easily. If I can find a pearly to put this in I would attempt the same thing.

Hey Josh, I wish I could see your pics from your host site at work, but bakody.com is blocked for some reason?! No clue why.

This thread makes me miss my full leather 944 S, which I believe you were referring to

BTW, seeing my old floor mats in that pic reminded me that my 951 has none, nor does the parts car. You got any spares?

Hey Ian - yep - referring to your full leather car You should PM me your email addy and I'll send you the pics that way. No idea why that domain is blocked - it is my personal one for family tree research.

Have any more pics of that interior?

You should post some pics - always like to see these interiors. I would say that out of the approx 55,000 late interior 944s that came to the States less than 1% (550) had full leather interiors. I am basing that on the rough guesstimate that I probably look at 100 944s before I see one that has a full leather interior. Most likely they are even a little rarer than that - I wouldn't be suprised if the number was less than half a percent.

Looks like my attic. My race car came with full leather and I carefully removed everything and stored it. The dash is perfect with no cracks or anything.

And on top of that I think I left some of my finger on the dash when I cut it up for you Josh! I am keeping my eyes open for the car for you to stick it in.

Are you thinking about selling it ever? Is the dash and airbag dash?
